Acceptable Use Policy
Fair and secure usage rules for InfoLink Internet services
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to all users of internet, data, and related services provided by InfoLink Limited (“InfoLink”, “we”, “us”). By subscribing to or using our Service, you agree to comply with this AUP, our Terms & Conditions, and applicable laws including BTRC regulations.
1. Scope
1.1 This AUP governs how you may use InfoLink Internet and related connectivity services.
1.2 This AUP applies to all connections, accounts, usernames, passwords, and equipment used to access the Service.
1.3 InfoLink Limited may update this AUP at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
2. Permitted use
2.1 Use the Service only for lawful personal or business purposes consistent with your subscribed plan.
2.2 You are responsible for all activity carried out through your connection, account, or credentials.
2.3 You must comply with applicable Bangladesh laws, BTRC rules, and international internet standards.
3. Prohibited activities
You must not use the Service to:
(a) engage in any unlawful, fraudulent, immoral, or improper activity;
(b) transmit, upload, download, or facilitate content that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, obscene, hateful, abusive, harmful (including viruses or malicious code), or otherwise objectionable;
(c) harm or attempt to harm minors in any way;
(d) interfere with, overload, or jeopardize the operation of the Service, our network, or third-party systems;
(e) engage in abusive or threatening behaviour toward other users, staff, or the public;
(f) infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person;
(g) send unsolicited bulk messages (spam), run open relays, or operate services that degrade network quality for others;
(h) resell, rebroadcast, or share the Service for profit or otherwise without written permission from InfoLink Limited;
(i) modify, tamper with, or bypass InfoLink equipment, authentication, billing, or security controls;
(j) use the Service in any manner that creates risk to InfoLink Limited, its reputation, employees, facilities, or the public.
4. Fair usage
4.1 InfoLink Limited aims to provide stable connectivity for all subscribers. To protect network quality, we may monitor usage patterns and apply fair usage measures where abnormal or excessive use is detected.
4.2 We may temporarily limit, prioritize, or restrict bandwidth, ports, or protocols when necessary to maintain service integrity for all users.
4.3 InfoLink Limited shall not be liable for any impact on your Service resulting from reasonable fair usage enforcement.
5. Security
5.1 Keep your account credentials, router settings, and customer premises equipment secure. Do not share passwords with unauthorized persons.
5.2 Notify InfoLink Limited immediately if you suspect unauthorized access, billing fraud, or security compromise.
5.3 You are responsible for securing devices and local networks on your premises beyond the point of demarcation defined by InfoLink Limited.
5.4 InfoLink Limited may suspend or disable access without prior notice where we reasonably suspect unlawful use, malware activity, or account compromise.
6. Equipment and network integrity
6.1 Equipment supplied by InfoLink Limited remains our property unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6.2 You must not relocate, reconfigure, or disconnect InfoLink equipment without authorization.
6.3 Damage to InfoLink property caused by misuse, negligence, or unauthorized modification may be charged to the client.
7. Third-party content and services
7.1 The Service may provide access to third-party websites, applications, and content. InfoLink Limited does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, transactions, or policies.
7.2 You access third-party services at your own risk. InfoLink Limited bears no liability for any loss arising from third-party services accessed through the Service.
8. Enforcement
8.1 Violation of this AUP may result in warning, throttling, suspension, or permanent termination of Service without refund.
8.2 InfoLink Limited may report unlawful activity to relevant authorities where required by law.
8.3 We may investigate complaints and take action based on logs, usage data, and technical evidence available to us.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
THE SERVICE AND NETWORK ACCESS ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INFOLINK LIMITED DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES AND SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OR MISUSE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, BUSINESS, REVENUE, OR REPUTATION.
Any liability of InfoLink Limited under this AUP shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the one (1) month immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, and only where such liability cannot be excluded by law.
