ঢাকায় হোম WiFi ইন্টারনেট — ফাইবার টু দ্য রাউটার, ভিড় করা সেল নয়
WiFi internet in Dhaka is only as good as the last mile. InfoLink delivers FTTH into the apartment, then WiFi from your router — so “home WiFi package” means fiber broadband with a wireless LAN, not a wireless ISP hop that dies when the neighbouring tower fills up. Plans from ৳500/month, unlimited, BDIX-friendly.
Fiber + WiFi vs wireless internet in Bangladesh
Search results for “wifi internet Bangladesh” mix two products: (1) fiber broadband with a WiFi router in the home, and (2) wireless last-mile / LTE / unlicensed hops. InfoLink sells (1). If your building is on-net, devices join a local WiFi SSID while the WAN is FTTH. That is why Zoom stays up when the street looks “full of wifi antennas.”
Apartment WiFi
Place the router central, 5 GHz for phones near the box, 2.4 GHz for IoT. Thick Gulshan/Banani walls may need a mesh node — ask support after install.
Broadband WiFi packages
Same published Mbps as fiber plans. WiFi does not add a second data cap. Choose 50–100 Mbps for typical Dhaka flats.
Gaming on WiFi
For ranked games, Ethernet to the ONT/router still wins. WiFi is fine for casual play if BDIX routes are clean — see /gaming.
Best home WiFi setup after InfoLink install
We terminate fiber in the home. You keep a dual-band router. Change the default SSID/password, disable WPS, and avoid putting the router inside a TV cabinet. If one bedroom is dead, a cheap mesh satellite on the same SSID beats buying a “faster package” that never leaves the living room.
1–2 people
50 Mbps unlimited FTTH + stock dual-band router. HD stream + WFH is comfortable.
Family / 4K
75–100 Mbps. Put the router high and open. Mesh if the flat is long or has RCC walls.
Shop + home
Do not share a home WiFi profile with all-day POS. Use a Priority line for the shop SSID.
Home WiFi coverage areas in Dhaka
WiFi packages follow the same on-net buildings as fiber. Check your tower before ordering a “wifi connection near me.”
