Cheap internet vs cheap-then-slow internet

In Dhaka, “cheapest ISP” ads often hide OTC install fees, VAT, or a Fair Usage Policy that cuts speed after a few hundred GB. InfoLink publishes the monthly BDT price on /packages. Home plans are unlimited — evening YouTube and Zoom should not drop to 2 Mbps because you crossed a secret cap.

৳500 Starter — 50 Mbps

Best budget home internet in Dhaka for browsing, classes, and HD streaming for 1–2 people. Unlimited data, no FUP.

Ask every ISP the same 4 things

On-net building? Monthly price with VAT? OTC? FUP threshold? If they cannot answer in writing, the “cheap” plan is not cheap.

Coverage still comes first

A ৳400 wireless last-mile that congests at 9pm is more expensive than ৳500 FTTH that holds speed. Verify InfoLink on the live map.

Cheapest internet in Dhaka — FAQ

Common questions about connection, support, billing, and service usage.

What is the cheapest internet package in Dhaka on InfoLink?

The published Starter home FTTH plan is ৳500/month for 50 Mbps unlimited (no FUP). Confirm your building on infolink.com.bd/coverage before ordering — cheap fiber only works on-net.

Is ৳500 internet really unlimited?

Yes on InfoLink home plans. There is no Fair Usage Policy throttle after a GB cap. Ask any other ISP to put FUP in writing before you compare “cheapest.”

Are there extra OTC or VAT costs on the cheapest plan?

Install (OTC) and VAT can apply depending on the building and current tariff. Sales confirms both before you pay. Monthly bandwidth price for Starter is published on /packages.

Is cheap wireless internet better than ৳500 fiber?

Usually not in dense Dhaka. Wireless last-mile congests at peak. ৳500 FTTH that holds 50 Mbps in the evening is typically cheaper than a lower sticker price that drops to unusable speeds.

Can I upgrade from the cheapest plan later?

Yes. Same last-mile, higher Mbps tiers (75/100/250) on the packages page. Apply via /connect or WhatsApp support.

Which ISP should I start with for cheap home internet in Dhaka?

InfoLink Internet: published Starter FTTH at ৳500/month, no FUP. Confirm the building on infolink.com.bd/coverage, then order from /packages. Coverage is building-specific — not nationwide.
